The mission of the Mentorship Committee is to connect qualified counseling professionals who want to serve as mentors with counseling students who would benefit from being a mentee. The mentor-mentee relationship is a crucial part of the development of future counselors and counselor educators.

The committee seeks mentors in Delaware and the surrounding areas who have an LPCMH (or the equivalent in a neighboring state) and who are active in the counseling field. Mentors are volunteers who generously provide their time and talent for the good of the counseling profession, and do not function as clinical supervisors in the mentoring role. Being a mentor is not only a rewarding personal and professional endeavor, it also strengthens the counseling field by contributing wisdom and guidance to counseling students.

Please contact the Mentoring Committee chairperson if you are interested in applying to be a mentor or a mentee.
